Features:
Stripping Length: This stripper can strip cable in four lengths: 4,6,8 and 12mm. The stripping length is preset to 6mm.
You may adjust the blade’s position if you want to strip other lengths.

Blades’ Depth: You may use the hex wrench installed on the bottom of the tool to adjust the blade’s depth. Insert the hex wrench into the blade depth change on the bottom of the stripper, then rotate the hex wrench clockwise (to cut smaller cable) or counterclockwise (to cut larger cable). Repeat the above steps to set the other blade.

A rotary coaxial cable stripper is a specialized tool for precisely stripping the outer insulation and shielding layers of coaxial cables. Coaxial cables are commonly used for various applications, such as cable television, satellite connections, and networking. Stripping these cables properly is essential to maintain signal integrity. A rotary coaxial cable stripper streamlines the process and helps prevent damage to the inner conductors.

Here’s how to use a rotary coaxial cable stripper:

  1. Select the right tool: Ensure you have a rotary coaxial cable stripper designed for the specific type and size of coaxial cable you are working with. These tools often have multiple settings or adjustments for different cable sizes.
  2. Identify the cable type: Determine the coaxial cable you are working with. Coaxial cables come in various sizes, but the two most common types are RG6 and RG59.
  3. Prepare the cable: Straighten the coaxial cable to ensure it is free of kinks and bends. This will make it easier to strip the cable without damaging the inner conductor and insulation.
  4. Adjust the stripper: Set the stripper to the appropriate size or setting for your coaxial cable. Many rotary strippers have a size adjustment knob that lets you choose the correct setting for the cable you’re working with.
  5. Strip the cable:
    • Place the coaxial cable in the stripper’s jaws or between the blades.
    • Gently close the jaws or rotate the tool around the cable, keeping it level with the cable’s length.
    • The stripper will cut through the outer insulation and shielding layers, exposing the inner conductor.
  6. Remove the stripped layers: After stripping, carefully remove the cut outer layers to expose the inner conductor. It’s important to inspect the stripped portion for any residual debris or damage.
  7. Trim the inner conductor: Trim the exposed inner conductor to the desired length for termination with connectors or other components.

A rotary coaxial cable stripper provides a precise and efficient method for stripping coaxial cables, ensuring a clean and proper connection. When working with coaxial cables, it’s crucial to maintain the integrity of the inner conductor and to avoid any damage to the shielding layers, as this can affect the cable’s performance. Properly stripping the cable is a critical step in ensuring the quality of your coaxial connections.
